xxxx VW Passat 2.8 V6 5 speed Manual, Colorado Red Exterior, Tan Interior. I've owned this car for almost two years and have invested roughly $3K in making this car reliable. It runs and drives great, it does have a few more things to be done. I have the parts as well as the shop manual that I can include, I just do not have the time to do it all. I'm getting ready to start nursing school, I have a daughter in band camp and my best friend who usually helps me out is working on his race car.
I've changed the oil every 3-4 months since I bought it. Recently changed the transmission fluid and it looked really great. I've rotated the tires every other oil change since I bought them last summer.
So, luckily for the next owner a lot of things have been crossed off the list that have been done!
Specifics:
-xxxx Passat GLS
-Colorado Red
-Tan interior
-4 door sedan
-2.8 V6 engine with 197,325K miles
-5 speed manual transmission
-Kumho Ecsta tires with about 20K miles left on them
-Leather Seats
-Heated Seats (front only)
-Defroster (rear glass)
-Front cup holders!!
-6 disc CD changer
-Sunroof
-A/C
*The Check Engine Light is ON only because of the Air Pump (see below for further Info)
* Windshield Washer fluid light is ON because the bottle has not been replaced (see below for further Info)
*Interior isn?t the best though it is quite functional. The front seats have covers on them as they aren?t in the greatest shape. The rear seat has a few tears. Carpet could definitely use a shampoo. After I got the car I removed the lining material on the sunroof cover because it was bunching up. And the glove box that we?ve repaired three times is now missing the front cover (it works, it?s just not fashionable). I have a replacement glove box (the second one) though this one is black.
Here is what has been done so far:
-Timing belt, water pump & thermostat (June xxxx)
-Timing belt tensioner replaced (June xxxx)
-Spark plugs (June xxxx)
-Brakes on all four wheels (just prior to me purchasing the car)
-Coil pack (Jan. xxxx)
-Power Steering Pump (Feb. xxxx)
-Cam position Sensor (Dec. xxxx)
-Flex pipe replaced (Feb. xxxx)
-All three motor mounts (left, right and snub) (Sept. xxxx)
-Breather hose and PCV valve (March xxxx)
-Cam tensioner gaskets (Feb. xxxx)
-CV axle (passenger side) (Jan. xxxx)
-ABS Module rebuilt (Jan. xxxx)
-Cabin Air Filter (Winter xxxx)
-Air Filter (Fall xxxx)
-A/C system flushed, Compressor and canister replaced (April xxxx)
-Control Arm replaced on Driver?s side (May xxxx)
-Windshield Wipers (May xxxx)
-Transmission Fluid replaced (June xxxx) **Old fluid actually looked really good
A few things have been fixed that we learned were ?typical? Passat issues:
-Driver?s side passenger door regulator
-Trunk release
-Broken wires to the Comfort Control Module (CCM)
In October xxxx I was on a field trip with my youngest son and was involved in a car accident. The car has been 95% repaired. I had a professional body shop fix most of the work (inner fender had to be replaced). Unless you stare at the car looking for fine details you cannot tell it has ever been wrecked.
FYI: Just prior to the accident I had went to visit my dad in Texas and on the way back, something hit the windshield and cracked it. Thanks to insurance, it was professionally replaced (ABRA).
The following was replaced after the accident:
-Inner fender
-Outer fender
-Hood
-Hood strut (brand new)
-Radiator frame support
-Radiator
-Power steering fluid reservoir
-Driver?s side headlight
-Engine cover
-Timing Belt Cover
What needs to be done that includes parts:
-Pads on cam tensioner, passenger side (brand new still in the box) have the cam tensioner tool from Snap On I will include too
-Brand new still sealed Valve cover gasket set for when the pads are replaced
-The ECM box needs to be taken out and the bottom needs to be siliconed
-Windshield washer fluid bottle needs to be installed, lines have to be reconnected (were severed in the accident).
Again, all the parts will be included. If I get a reasonable offer I will include the Bentley Shop manual. If you were to buy that alone, it will cost you over $100. VW owners consider it the "Bible."
I'm asking $2,500 or best offer. You're not only getting the car, you are also getting the remaining parts that need to be put on, a special tool, the shop manual that alone costs over $100, a brand new jug of VW coolant I bought but couldn't take back ($35 value), TWO full size spare tires on the OEM Alloy wheels, a spare center cap and much more.
The parts, tool and shop manual alone are over $300.
I need to sell the car, but I would like serious, interested people to call me.
